"We noticed that the market women we serve normally take goods from farmers on credit which places a financial burden on them and doesn't enable the farmers to resume their agricultural activities immediately as they don't have enough money to do so. Through a capacity building program organized by the Association and GIZ plus funding from GIZ, we were able to develop a product for market women which provides them with funds to pay for the goods from farmers as soon as they receive it and pay us back once the goods are sold. This has led to the continuity of their businesses and both parties are happy".
